A car with four-wheel drive system has a high advantage. Since all four wheels are driven, they have higher traction compared to 2-wheel driven cars.

However, not all four-wheel drive cars are All Wheel Drive, and not all four-wheel drive cars are 4x4. The two systems are different systems that cannot be considered the same even though they don’t have much difference.

Then, the All-Wheel Drive system has an orientation for on-road needs. AWD systems are usually always active even though some systems only activate when there is a slip in a particular wheel. All Wheel Drive itself can be used for off-road, but it may not be as tough as the 4x4.

Kemudian, sistem 4x4 juga biasanya memiliki sistem low-range. Fitur ini akan membuat girboks semakin rapat, memudahkan mobil untuk off-road, misalnya saat melalui tanjakan tajam yang licin. Biasanya, mobil dengan sistem 4x4 sangat cocok dengan ban Forceum M/T-08.

Kemudian, sistem All Wheel Drive memiliki orientasi untuk kebutuhan on-road. SIstem AWD biasanya selalu aktif meskipun beberapa sistem hanya aktif ketika ada slip di roda tertentu. All Wheel Drive sendiri memang bisa diugnakan untuk off-road, namun mungkin tidak setangguh 4x4.

Untuk itu, ketika digunakan untuk kebutuhan on-road, sistem AWD bisa menggunakan ban Forceum Hexa-R untuk traksi yang besar. Jika ingin off-road ringan, bisa memilih ban Forceum ATZ-R.
