If you think electric vehicles are only suitable for city driving and urban lifestyles, the AION V will change your perception. At GIIAS 2025, GAC Indonesia introduced a modified version of the AION V with a look and features ready for exploration, from the city to the pine forest!

This locally assembled electric vehicle from GAC’s factory in Cikampek is already futuristic by design. But with an adventure-themed modification, its appearance becomes even bolder. From the wheels and tires to the lighting, roof box, and dashcam—everything is designed to enhance functionality and style. Plus, all components use high-quality local aftermarket products!

Exterior Ready for Long Journeys

The AION V Adventure stands out with its black-and-white color combination and white livery on the side skirts, giving it a bolder look. On the roof, there’s the aerodynamic Solitaire 530-liter roof box that can be opened from two sides, perfect for road trip enthusiasts.

The support? The Expedition Crossbar with a strong dual-locking system can support loads up to 75 kg. Perfect for carrying tents, large suitcases, or even other outdoor gear.

Additional Lighting from V2L: More Than Just Style

For lighting, the vehicle is equipped with 15 UPS Waymaker UW6 spotlights, each 50 watts, mounted on 2mm steel brackets made with CNC laser cutting. All lights are controlled via a wireless switch and powered by the vehicle's built-in electrical system through the Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature. Uniquely, these lights are not for illuminating the road but for lighting up the camping area. Functional? Absolutely!  

Robust SUV-Style Wheels  

The aggressive look of the AION V is further emphasized by the use of HSR Mentawai wheels measuring 17 inches in diameter, 7.5 inches in width, and with an ET 45 offset. The glossy silver color chosen gives an elegant yet sporty feel, perfect for the modern character of an electric vehicle. 

These wheels are paired with Accelera Omikron CT tires sized 225/65 R17, known for their excellent traction on various terrains, from smooth asphalt to semi-offroad roads.

Clean and Safe Interior

Modifications aren't just about the exterior. The AION V's interior is now more comfortable thanks to the Otoproject Trash Bin and Car Cup Trash Bin. Small, practical, and stylish, plus equipped with 30 trash bags. Disposing of trash in the car is now easier.

For safety, there’s the Neo 2K + Full HD dashcam with GPS and Wi-Fi. Its G-sensor system automatically saves recordings in case of a collision. 

Proving EVs Can Be Stylish and Functional

According to Iqbal Taufiqurrahman from GAC Indonesia, this modification isn’t just about looks. “The modifications showcased at GIIAS 2025 can serve as a reference for EV users, particularly the AION V lineup. As long as the modifications are done for daily use without altering the engine or electrical systems, the appearance can be elevated to match the preferred modification style,” said the man who holds the position of Product Planning and Strategy at GAC Indonesia.

With its now more aggressive appearance, the AION V proves that electric vehicles can be reliable, stylish, and environmentally friendly adventure companions. It’s not just about looking different; it also supports the growth of the local automotive and aftermarket industries.

Mobil listrik rakitan lokal dari pabrik GAC di Cikampek ini memang sudah futuristik dari sananya. Tapi lewat sentuhan modifikasi berkonsep adventure, tampilannya jadi lebih berani. Mulai dari velg dan ban, sampai pencahayaan, roofbox, hingga dashcam—semua didesain untuk menambah fungsionalitas dan gaya. Apalagi, semua komponen pakai produk aftermarket lokal berkualitas tinggi!

Eksterior Siap Jalan Jauh

AION V Adventure ini tampil beda dengan kombinasi warna hitam-putih plus livery putih di side skirt yang bikin tampilannya makin berani. Di atap, ada Roofbox Solitaire 530 liter yang aerodinamis dan bisa dibuka dari dua sisi, praktis buat yang doyan road trip.

Penopangnya? Crossbar Expedition dengan sistem pengunci ganda yang kuat menopang beban hingga 75 kg. Cocok banget buat bawa tenda, koper besar, atau bahkan perlengkapan outdoor lainnya.

Pencahayaan Tambahan dari V2L: Bukan Sekadar Gaya

Buat urusan penerangan, mobil ini dibekali 15 lampu tembak UPS Waymaker UW6, masing-masing 50 watt, dipasang pada braket baja 2 mm hasil potongan CNC laser. Semua lampu dikendalikan via wireless switch dan disokong sistem kelistrikan bawaan mobil lewat fitur Vehicle to Load (V2L). Uniknya, lampu-lampu ini bukan buat nyorot jalan, tapi buat menerangi area camping. Fungsional? Banget!

Kaki-Kaki Tangguh ala SUV

Tampilan agresif AION V makin dipertegas dengan penggunaan velg HSR Mentawai berukuran 17 inci, lebar 7,5 inci, dan offset ET 45. Warna glossy silver yang dipilih memberikan kesan elegan sekaligus sporty, cocok untuk karakter mobil listrik yang modern.

Sementara untuk keamanan, ada dashcam Neo 2K + Full HD yang dilengkapi GPS dan Wi-Fi. Sistem G-sensor-nya bakal otomatis simpan rekaman kalau terjadi benturan.

Menurut Iqbal Taufiqurrahman dari GAC Indonesia, modifikasi ini bukan cuma soal tampang. “Modifikasi yang tampil di GIIAS 2025 ini bisa menjadi referensi untuk para pengguna EV, khususnya line-up AION V. Sejauh modifikasi dilakukan untuk kebutuhan harian tanpa mengubah sisi mesin dan kelistrikan, tampilannya bisa lebih naik kelas sesuai gaya modifikasi yang disenangi,” ujar pria yang menjabat sebagai Product Planning and Strategy GAC Indonesia ini.
