Temperature Rising At A Stop? This Component May Be The Blame

Have you ever felt that the car suddenly gets hotter when it is stopped? For example, in a traffic jam. But when you start moving, the engine temperature gradually drops to normal operating temperature.

In principle, this is indeed normal. Because when the car stops, the air that hits the radiator is very little compared to when going. So, a slight increase in temperature is certainly normal.

However, if the temperature rises too high, one component can be the cause, the radiator fan.

The radiator fan actually has the toughest task when the car is stopped. When the car is stopped, no air or wind enters the radiator. It is the fan that will draw the air to go through the radiator and maintain the engine temperature.

When the radiator fan is weak, the engine temperature will increase because the volume of air entering the radiator becomes smaller. In fact, in some conditions, the radiator fan seems to be malfunctioning which can make the engine overheat when the car is stopped.

So, if the engine temperature is abnormal, immediately check some cooling components and radiator fans which are often a problem.

In addition, also check the groove thickness of the Forceum tyres. The thickness of the tyre grooves is critical, especially in the rainy season to maintain grip.

Pernahkah kamu merasa mobil mendadak lebih panas ketika sedang berhenti, misalnya saat di tengah kemacetan. Namun ketika berjalan, suhu mesin berangsur turun ke suhu operasional normal.

Secara prinsip, hal ini memang normal. Karena ketika mobil berhenti, udara atau angin yang mengenai radiator tentunya sangat sedikit dibandingkan saat berjalan. Sehingga, kenaikan suhu sedikit tentunya normal.

Namun bila suhu naik terlalu tinggi, ada satu komponen yang bisa jadi penyebabnya, yaitu kipas radiator.

Kipas radiator sebenarnya memiliki tugas terberat ketika mobil sedang berhenti. Bila mobil sedang berhenti, tidak ada udara atau angin yang masuk ke radiator. Kipaslah yang akan menarik angin tersebut untuk melalui radiator dan menjaga suhu mesin.

Ketika kipas radiator lemah, maka suhu mesin otomatis akan meningkat karena volume udara yang masuk ke radiator menjadi lebih sedikit. Bahkan, pada beberapa kondisi, kipas radiator seperti tidak berfungsi yang bisa membuat mesin overheat saat diam.

Sehingga, jika temperatur mesin tidak normal, segera ceklah beberapa komponen pendinginan serta kipas radiator yang sering menjadi masalah.

Selain itu, cek juga ketebalan alur dari ban Forceum. Ketebalan alur ban sangatlah penting, terutama pada musim hujan untuk menjaga daya cengkeram.
